The National Xball League is back. With three events scheduled for 2015, the NXL is the only functioning pro/am series in the U.S. as PSP (Paintball Sports Promotions) has apparently suspended its season. The NXL will use a timed game format as opposed to RaceTo and will offer a straight five-man single point division with low entry fees to help newer teams get started in tournament paintball. The NXL will not allow coaching and game time limits will vary from division to division.
The NXL will offer timed matches in Pro, Semi-Pro (D1), D2, D3 and D4. We will offer a D3 and D4 standard 5 Man. They will also offer an open class pump and ten-man, Match Format.
All NXL events will feature a live webcast.
Rate of Fire
The first 3 shots must be semi-auto mode only. Markers will be limited to a ROF of 10 balls per second, defined as no two consecutive shots may be timed shorter than 95ms apart (reading on ROF meter of 10.5 bps or less is legal; reading on ROF meter of 10.6 bps or higher is illegal).
Clarification: 5 bps for start/sustain ramping does not need to be hit physically; it refers to the time delay between trigger activations, which must be at least the equivalent to 5 bps. So a marker may start to ramp up to 10 bps, if (after the first three shots being in semi-auto only) the time delay between 3rd and 4th trigger activation is less than 200ms.

Player Classification and Registration
From the NXL…
The National Xball League (NXL) will be utilizing the APPA paintball player classification and registration system for the 2015 season.
The APPA provides the only complete registration system for paintball tournaments, including player and team signup and achievement tracking, payment processing, ID card issuance, scheduling and scoring. Players and teams can sign up for events online and receive instant confirmation of their payment status. A streamlined ID card issuing process, including ExpressPass, lets players conveniently know the current status of their ID card, from photo upload to approval to card printing and issuance, with instant email notifications when the player’s card is printed or if a photo can’t be used. Once players are checked in, the APPA also shows each player’s real-time game results and upcoming game schedule. The APPA allows each player to see the complete history of results of every game and tournament they have ever played in and compare their standing with other players and teams.
