Then and Now: 26 Years of Aftershock Photos

When the Lords of Discipline and Scream merged in 1991 and named their squad Aftershock, the paintball world took notice. The “Lords” were one of the best tournament paintball teams in the world throughout the 1980s, winning or placing in nearly every national event they entered (which was most of them). And scream and its leader Renick Miller were the up-and-coming newer talented team from the midwest. It was the perfect combination of experience, leadership, resources (money), talent and attitude.

Aftershock (later called Chicago Aftershock) immediately morphed into one of the “big three” pro teams in the world (with the Ironmen and All Americans). They went on to win countless NPPL and PSP events and for 26 years now have been a force. Some of the best players in the world have donned Aftershock jerseys – players like Mike Bruno, Danny Love, Todd Adamson, Billy Ceransky, Gary Noblett, John “Spud” Jackson, Renick Miller, Mike Paxon, Nicky Cuba, the MauMau brothers, Nick Slowiak and so many more.
