San Antonio X-Factor Wins First-Ever NXL Winter Classic

Longtime Texas professional team San Antonio X-Factor started off their 2017 season with a gold trophy at the first-ever National XBall League Winter Classic event! It was not a quiet off-season for the Texas team, as X-Factor switched jersey sponsors to Anthrax and broke out for 2017 with a brilliant blue design, while picking up new talent including Clint Johnson and Jon Woodley, formerly of AC: Dallas and Chicago Aftershock, respectively. The team also added Empire as a sponsor after years away from the brand, replacing VForce Grill and Profiler goggles from seasons past with the hot new Empire EVS. The five-man roster for their Winter Classic squad was a strong one by any definition, including longtime players Archie Montemayor, Colt Roberts, Grayson Goff and Billy Bernacchia, along with “LJ” Woodley, and the team quickly made it clear that they are in the hunt for 2017 as they climbed over and through the likes of Dynasty (shooting their new Bob Long/Field One markers) and a stacked “All Star” squad of Impact and Ironmen stars along with 187’s Nick Slowiak on their way to the top spot on the podium. X-Factor was tough throughout 2016 and if the Winter Classic is any indication, 2017 will be no different. Between San Antonio X-Factor, Houston Heat and AC: Dallas, Texas may be a tough state to beat in 2017 no matter what team the opposition draws!
